Annual AWC Tulsa Events

Community-Wide Events
Each year, the Tulsa Chapter hosts the Newsmakers luncheon to present outstanding, selected women communicators with the Newsmakers Award and the Saidie Lifetime Achievement Award.

Special Workshop
The Tulsa Chapters offers an opportunity for professional development for area Communicators. Recent topics have included social media and maintaining personal contact in a technical world.

AWC Tulsa Open House
One social event per year is hosted for members and non-members alike. This generally happens in August and is one of the best ways to network with communicators and learn more about the Tulsa Chapter!
Member-Only Events

W3 – Women, Wisdom and Wine
AWC holds networking socials, called W3, throughout the year and is a members-only perk. These events are member favorites — a time to kick back after the work day, visit with long-time AWC friends and meet new friends, talk business or what’s in the news, make great connections, and share creative ideas! It’s where we connect with relaxing time and wine (and light food) to talk shop and share ideas. It’s fun, it’s casual, it’s a friendly way to end the work day.  We’re looking forward to seeing you then!
This is one of the best perks our chapter offers for the best deal and place for you to meet and chat with the best communications pros in town.

Holiday Party
Each year, members gather for the annual holiday party at a member’s home.  The holiday party includes the AWC yearly fundraiser and collection of books for Anderson Elementary School.

Community Outreach

In addition to the friendship, networking and professional development provided to its members, the Tulsa Chapter also supports several community programs and events.

Each holiday season, the Tulsa Chapter seeks opportunities for charitable giving. For several years, the Tulsa Chapter sponsored a family or individuals in need. Most recently, we've worked with Anderson Elementary to help build their library as well as provide books to their students. Through both an individual member book drive and a chapter donation, we've been able to give each child at the school a book of their own to take home for the holidays.
