Membership Types
(Individual)

Professional memberships
The following memberships are for communication professionals starting out in their career and those who are established in the industry.


EXECUTIVE COMMUNICATOR

For communication professionals with 10 years or more experience serving in executive, managerial or senior positions.
PROFESSIONAL COMMUNICATOR

Open to professionals age 26 + who are currently employed in communications disciplines or who hold a communications degree.
YOUNG PROFESSIONAL COMMUNICATOR

Open to members starting out in their communications career up to age 25.
RETIRED COMMUNICATOR

Open to retired communications professionals who work less than 20 hours per week and have reached the age of  62. Members of age 72 or older regardless of employment status are eligible for Retired Communicator.

Educational memberships
The following memberships are for young professionals, students, and recent graduates of the communications field.


FACULTY ADVISOR

Complimentary membership for faculty members of accredited colleges or universities who serve as official advisors to chartered and active student AWC chapters. Must meet the other guidelines for AWC Professional membership.
STUDENT COMMUNICATOR

Open to women or men working full-time toward an undergraduate or a graduate degree and who demonstrate a commitment to a communications career. Expected graduation date and school name are required for validation.

Membership Types
(Corporate)

For professionals currently employed in communications disciplines or who hold a communications degree.

Corporate membership is for three members from the same company at the professional membership rate. Corporate memberships belong to the company. If the assigned AWC member leaves the company, the company retains that membership and can reassign it to another employee. The individual leaving the company would need to obtain an individual professional membership to continue as a member.

Corporate membership applications must be submitted and coordinated through a single contact who will receive renewal invoices and make sure the contact information for each remains up to date.

The Corporate Membership includes:
o One registration to the AWC National Conference
o Logo placement on the AWC membership page of the national website.
o Company-wide access to the AWC webinars for company professional development.
o No application fees for Corporate Membership changes.
Corporation may submit a feature story on their company for the Communique.
o National Membership Fee: $595.00 annually for up to three (3) members. Chapter dues charged in accordance to the dues amount set by the local chapter.
