In Memorium: Linda Hankemeier
March 7, 1972 - June 3, 2016
It is with sadness and heavy hearts that we share the passing of AWC member Linda Timm Hankemeier. Linda served on our national board of directors since 2015 and was a member of the Bloomington/Normal Professional Chapter. Before joining the national board, she chaired the national Professional Development Committee, bringing high quality education offerings to our members.
“Linda was an asset to the national board of directors. She had a passion for the communications field and connecting with people. She brought joy and light wherever she went. Linda will truly be missed,” said Kristin Van Nort, AWC National Board President.
From Kari McMullen, Bloomington/Normal Professional Chapter member and Linda’s co-worker: “Linda had battled breast cancer for more than 8 years, inspiring all of us with her determination, courage and spirit. Linda loved her job and it showed. She was very passionate about communications but more importantly, she was passionate about the people she worked with dearly."
