2017 Emerging Professional

The Greater Des Moines Chapter is pleased to award the 2017 Emerging Professional Scholarship to Aileen Rojas.

The scholarship provides a one-year AWC membership grant along with free admission to the regular meetings of the Greater Des Moines Chapter. Benefits of the scholarship include mentorship by experienced members of the chapter, networking, continuing education, and portfolio-building assignments from the chapter board.

Aileen is a recent graduate of Iowa State University with a degree in Public Relations and minors in Spanish and Business. She served on the board of the AWC Student Chapter while at Iowa State. Her internship was with the North Central STEM Hub.

Apply for a Scholarship

Scholarship candidates should be recent graduates of a Central Iowa college or university majoring in a communications related subject and wishing to locate in the Greater Des Moines area. Applications for 2020 will be accepted up until April 1, 2020 and winners will be notified and presented at the May 2020 AWCDSM luncheon. Email us for the application: awcdsm@gmail.com.
