Marketing & Communications Committee

Committee Description:
Use your PR, advertising and writing know-how at a national level and learn from other AWC pros! MarCom promotes the AWC brand and works to develop the AWC name and image. Publicizes activities such as the Clarion Awards, the National Conference, Professional Development programs, the Advancement Fund, Knowledge Network, and more. Meets monthly by conference call.

Trending, the AWC Blog

Launched in March 2018, Trending is primarily a vehicle for our members. It’s important that we offer a venue for our members to be published, to share the expertise of our members, and to advance AWC as a thought leader in the communication industry. You can see our Trending blog here

Communique, the AWC Newsletter

The AWC Newsletter is a place for members to share accolades, chapters to share information and successful events, and for the National Board and the National office to share organization-wide information directly to membership. The Communique is a members-only publication.

AWC National Social Media

AWC works with a marketing firm, DesignEnvy, located in Lubbock, Texas and owned and operated by AWC member Donya Butler. The MarCom committee worked with DesignEnvy on social media content month-to-month for AWC's channels: LinkedIn page, LinkedIn business page, Facebook page, Twitter account, and Instagram account. The MarCom committee operates the AWC Connects (members only) private Facebook group and encourages members to engage and collaborate via social media.
