Julie Navickas is an Academic Advisor & Lecturer in the School of Communication at Illinois State University. Julie’s job duties focus on assisting Communication Studies and Journalism students plan their coursework. In addition, she instructs classes in writing for public relations, magazine production and design, and public speaking. She also coordinates a summer study abroad experience in Paris, France. Julie holds a B.S. and a M.S. from the School of Communication and a second M.S. in the Department of English at ISU.
Julie is also an adjunct faculty member at Heartland Community College and serves as the executive director of The Writing Champions Project. She is also the publishing & communications manager for Burning Soul Press and is a mom to three kids: Lily (4), Colton (3), and Brady (1).
