THE ASSOCIATION FOR WOMEN IN COMMUNICATIONS

ANNOUNCES THE 2016 CLARION AWARD WINNERS

 

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (July 11, 2016) – The Association for Women in Communications (AWC) announces 78 winners of its esteemed 2016 Clarion Awards competition.  Highly sought after by both women and men, the Clarions—named for the medieval trumpet known for its clarity—symbolize excellence in clear, concise communications and offers communicators over 100 categories for entries. Crystal Clarion Award – Top Honor

With five winning entries, Cherokee Nation Businesses is honored with the 2016 International Crystal Clarion Award, the highest of all Clarion Awards.   The International Crystal Clarion honors the individual or organization recognized with the most winning entries in the annual Clarion competition. This year, the competition was highly competitive and resulted in having three organizations tied for the honor. To break the tie, the highest overall score was awarded.

For more than 40 years, the AWC Clarion Awards have recognized small business, large corporate, nonprofit, agency and government communication specialists internationally who demonstrate excellence in clear and concise communications.

 

As one of the most prestigious competitions of its kind in the country, the 2016 competition attracted entries from 24 states and three countries, with entries judged by teams of experts from all aspects of the marketing and communications fields.
